Applying for a U. S. Citizenship is not easy as how you think it is. Naturalization is what an immigrant has to undergo to in order to become a citizen of the United States. For residents who were able to spend the required number of years in the states and were able to meet all requirements for the citizenship, the very first step is filling the N400 form. Remember, you should fill this out correctly and all fields must be complete. Making sure that all the necessary field are inputted correctly will take out the risk of having mistakes.

You must also have physically lived in the States for thirty months at least in those five years. The document needed may include the passport, employment information, along with phone numbers and addresses. If you have been on many trips outside the U. S., gather all the dates of these travels.

Has good moral character. That means, you met the standards for an average citizen within the community. Specifically not being involved to crimes like murder, lying to the government just to gain immigration benefits and during the interview, and illegal gambling. Even though you would pass the test, it would still be decided by the government base on case to case.

Read the instructions twice. Do not proceed to answering the questions right away if you did not really understand it on the first read, this is why reading twice is necessary. You do not want to create any mistake. Review the N400 before passing them to the right people. Be sure that all information about you and questions are answered correctly.
