When children are growing up, it is wise to let them become involved in various exercises that will improve their reasoning. Also, these tasks can help in making their muscles and fingers stronger. Some children may find it hard to hold items like scissors, utensils and even pencils. Others cannot even tie their shoes well. Hence, the tasks you let them do will help them be able to grasp better and even reason better. Some of the fine motor skill activities for preschoolers have been listed below.

If you have been looking for activities for your child, you can introduce the play-dough and putty. This is a game in which the kids will play with putty and mold it into different shapes. They will thus learn to squeeze and have a better grip. Also, stretching and rolling the putty will not be a problem for them.

Painting is another task that can help to strengthen the hand-eye coordination of the kid. Also, the manual dexterity of the child can be improved. If you allow the kids to finger paint, they will have an excellent opportunity to use their hands. Also, if they paint using a brush, they can gain better control over using the brush as a tool.

Sponges can also be used to make the children have better reasoning and swiftness. This activity will require two bowls and a sponge. Then, you will be needed to fill one bowl with water. Using the sponge, the child will fill the empty bowl with water from the one having water. This will be done by soaking and squeezing, which is good for the kid.

Rice game is another good game that you can introduce to the kid. Look for tweezers, an empty bowl, and a bowl with a handful of rice. Set the jars apart and grad some tweezers as well. Start competing with your child in filling the empty jars with rice. You will use the tweezers to grab the uncooked rice. In case the rice is too small, other cereals could do.

Water play is also a good option. Fill a cup to about half or a quarter with clean water. Then, give the child an empty cup and a syringe or eye dropper. The kid will then use the eyedropper or syringe to fill the empty cup with water. You can compete with the kids to make them more aggressive.

Gardening or digging is also encouraged for kids who love this activity. Although it might be considered strenuous, the kids can do other smaller tasks like transferring seedlings. This will help them have better coordination of both the hand and the eyes.

So many other tasks are available that you can let the kids enjoy. This will help them to learn things that they would never have learned until old age. Additionally, some of these tasks can actually shape the career of the kid. For instance, your kid can become an outstanding artist with the right training.
