Celebrating The Famous Women In History

This is based on women that stand a chance in the society to be celebrated for being standouts and hero for things they did to make a change to the society. They are written in history books and shall live to be remembered by our current and future generations. An example of the famous women in history include Mama Teresa, Oprah Winfrey, Queen Ann, Queen Elizabeth 1, Joan of Arc, Queen Isabella, Margret Thatcher among others.

Mama Teresa was a catholic nun born in 1910 to 1997, and the founder of a charity missionary group, a religious congregation that is catholic. It is conducted in over 133 countries worldwide with above 4000 nuns that serve in homes for those suffering from HIV/AIDS, leprosy and tuberculosis. They conduct programs of counselling to schools, orphanages and families. For you to work in the missionary, you will have to accept vows of chastity, poverty and obedience.

Globally, she is popular for her TV talk show on known as the Oprah Winfrey Show. The show has been given the highest ratings than any other show thus describing her as a very influential character in the society. Born in 1954, she got raped at 9 though lost the child at infancy stage. She has several charity foundations that help the poor.

Queen Isabella was married to the late king Ferdinand 2. She was born on 1451 dying in the year 1504. The husband was already king of Aragon when she became queen of Castile in 1479 thus together they were able to unite Spain. Together they also helped the needy in society. Isabellas father who was a king died when she just was 3 yrs old.

Born in France (1412-1431), it was until 1424 when Joan of Arc started having visions. These visions advised her to support King Charles VII, the advise coming from the Saints; Michael, Catherine and Margaret. Her mission was to assist in fighting of the English and she did this by aiding in the capturing of cities like Paris, Reims And other towns that were dominated by the English at the time. However, she later was captured by the English and sentenced to death.

Queen Elizabeth was born in 1533 and died in 1603. Her father was King Henry 8. In 1558 she became the queen. She helped restore the Church of England calming the tensions that were between England and France. Her rule was diplomatic thus helped in thriving England.

Queen Anne (1665-1714) was the only woman that was married to take over as queen in England in the year 1702. The year 1665 when she was born, lots of controversies were being experienced among Protestants and the Catholics leading to civil wars. During Spanish succession, she wholly supported it and even declared war towards the France. She also helped in unification of England and Scotland forming Great Britain.

March is a month in which Australia, Canada and the UK celebrate the women in history for a week and later expand it to the whole month. Other countries have set specific dates that they celebrated the these exceptional women. Awards are given to them as well as getting honors.
